I’ve been trying a few new things and I’m really pleased with how my latest peices have turned out. For the fish bowl and seahorse coasters I used dark blue bubble paint for the water. The effect is gives is really cool. The Tree bowl I used teal and green paint on bullseye thinfire paper, then once dry puched out little heart shapes for the leaves on the tree.

So here is my first attempt at screen printing with glass, using a stencil that came with the kit. I think it went well, very cool technique. I’m now thinking of designs for my own stencils. You can’t go wrong with butterflies though can you ☺

There is nothing better than getting new equipment, aka toys, for my glass workshop. I’ve just got a bottle cutter so I can start making some pieces out of recycled glass.

Plus I have also ordered a screen print printing kit from Warm Glass. Less messy than ink printing, as you use powders. 

Now I have so many ideas I want to try and not enough time to do it! I’ll post some pictures as I go along, but only if my first attempts are not too embarrassing!
