A Ship for The Ship

I couldn’t help myself… since I’ve been making pieces along a water theme, I’ve made a picture of a Ship – now for sale in The Ship, Overton.

In other news I am going to start selling my work in Emma’s Vintage in Bolton Le Sands from next week. Lovely little tea shop selling handmade goodies and of course cake ☺

Lino Cutting, who knew… well most peeps, but not me!

So during the rather marvellous Meet the Makers show (still on tomorrow), I have been introduced to a new craft – Lino cutting and printing. Michelle from Studio 42, kindly not only put up with my silly questions about her beautiful work (check out Facebook studio42arts or her website studio42arts.blogspot.co.uk), she also brought in some tools and materials, so I could have a go 🙂 Check out my first go at making a stamp of my logo. Very useful and very cool, even if I do say so myself.

If you fancy a go yourself she also runs workshops, look out for dates on the website. I’m already lined up for one!

It’s Raining Cats and Dogs…

Not really, in fact tomorrow is set to be a scorcher! I have however made a fresh batch of cats and dogs ready for the Meet the Makers Arts and Craft Show starting this Thursday 21st July. I’ve also been making some fishy little numbers and some fab lollies.

Don’t miss out on some fantastic handmade art and craft, by a range of different artists, in the heart of Lancasters’ city centre.
